christracy
A Rhode Island man charged with stomping to death a Canada goose and five goslings said he did it because he felt threatened by the birds. http://www.boston.com/news/local/rhode_isl...e_in_attleboro/ they should stomp him a bit to let him know what it feels like.

Sorry, I'm too classy to go into a bar/nightclub and associate with those type of people. Plus once again, even if I was to go into a bar, im at least supporting it by buying a glass or chardonnay or merlot, unlike the geese who do not support the country club one bit other than taking up space and defecating all over the greens/fairways. Also, every animal in the world doesn't buy drinks and is a poor patron, you'd probably agree they should all die too. Animal abuse should never be tolerated. When you belong to a private country club you cannot join any other country clubs thus showing your loyalty to your one CC. Therefore, I am doing my CC a favor by a. paying dues, b. supporting the restuarant/club house c. buying from the pro shop, ALL of which are required monthly. As for the animals go..... they do absolutely nothing but increase our monthly dues because of their damage.

RickJames1
If you can't afford the montly dues...then you should cancel you membership. 585901998[/snapback] It costs roughly $5,000 a month for dues. Around $300 per member is taken out to pay for the damage that the geese have made. I would like to see that money go somewhere else instead of paying for these dunderheads. Thats life bro...If you have $5,000 a month to pay for a membership to a country club you shouldn't be worried about $300 going to course and club repairs. I KNOW that animals don't cause $300 per month per member worth of damages. Unless they have chainsaws and dynamite

Hell, they're animals doing their thing is all. Maybe you should push the club to reduce their profit a little in order to give some of that money to charity (if you really are concerned about donations). Aaron Veteran Posted May 11, 2005 Veteran Share Posted May 11, 2005 Let's get on topic and stop bashing and or bragging (which is really pointless in a forum). Geese can be a big nuisance if the peopel around are feeeding them. They can also get very aggressive when with their offspring. I'd reserve judgement for a more detailed account. They have as much of a right to be there as you do. Anyway, geese can be agressive when they have little ones with them, but i still don't think it gave hime the right to kill them. AxelStone
You know what, if the guy did that because he was angry, he should be fined and ridiculed. IF he did it due to that goose was attacking him?! Good for him, evidently you retards have never been attacked by geese before. Getting hit with thier wings can feel like getting hit with a steel pipe. As for him killing the goslings, totally uncalled for.
Chicane-UK Veteran Posted May 12, 2005 Veteran Share Posted May 12, 2005 No excuse for this.. they should send him to jail. Defending yourself against a vicious animal is fine.. but quite frankly, what the hell are 5 innocent goslings likely to do to you?! And besides, i'm sure he can run faster than a goose can.. what a sick freak.
