Fred Derf Veteran Posted May 23, 2005 Veteran Share Posted May 23, 2005 /\ Ahhhh Pitbulls....such cute cuddly animals. 585958161 Pitbulls treat members of the household as part of her "pack". Visiting friends, however, can be another story. Add in a mother dog protecting her new pups and well, trouble could happen with many breeds. The problem is that when a problem happens with a pitbull, it is a major problem. The preferable option to banning pitbulls would be to force responsible dog ownership training. I personally would not let my child go over to a household that had a pitbull.

pto
If i get an unbiased statement(video ;))of some little girl minding her own business and walking and the dog just runs up to her and immediatly attacks her from behind, I might, might, consider this law humane. maybe. cq_
i've had personal expeirence with a friends pit bull. the dog was as freindly as any other dog i have seen... really cool dog i would say... in other news, the palo alto daily times BANNED making pit bulls "pet of the week" in their daily free newspaper... there was a big boycott last week with alot of pitbull owners... pretty cool

Jesse Carlton
Why is it OK to stereotype dogs, but not people?Wrong. People are PROVING you wrong every day, why do you persist? 585948105 I don't see anyone PROVING anything here, it's opinions based on gross generalizations, I feel there is enough evidence to warrant the ban on pitbulls, and fred's articles just go to help my point. pitbulls are dangerous and shouldn't be around children or within city limits. I frequent a dog park almost every day for about 2 hours, and your statements are laughable since the "fearsome" pitbulls play as hard as any other dog in the park, all without maiming the children who come in or the parents. Or, for that matter, the other dogs.
