Raven
I'm running Windows XP on a wireless laptop. I want to access two different networks without reconfiguring my lan connections. These are two different locations with different gateway addressses. Under the advanced settings of the TCP/IP I added a second IP and default gateway (wireless connection). These networks do NOT dhcp. This solution assigns the appropriate IP but will not switch to the alternate default gateway. In order to surf the net I must manually change the assigned gateway. Unfortunately, I do not have the authority to change the network config. I appreciate any helpful advice.
Billprozac
Without some 3rd party software to reconfigure your NIC, this is not going to happen. If you were using DHCP, it would be cake, but this is going to cause problems, trust me I have tried to find a 100% solution before and never did.
