enriquecaliente
1. After using VPN to log into work to read my Lotus Notes, and I've logged out and dis-connected the VPN, when I try to use iexplorer it hangs, I have to kill the task (iexplorer) before it will start again. :pinch: 2. I've unintalled IE6, rebooted and when I try to install it again I get the following error. " A previous installation has pending work requiring a reboot. You need to restart your computer to complete that installation before running Internet Explorer Setup. Setup will now close." Somehow IE6 is still running even though I can't see it in my add/remove list. How can I modify the IE6 banner at the top, the one thats in dark blue and tells you where you are and says Microsoft Internet Explorer, I know it can be customized, because at work it also includes the company name, I'd like to add my name to mine. ;)
El_Cu_Guy
That's not a banner. It's the title bar for the app window. 1. Start Regedit 2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main 3. Add or edit the string value Window Title (there is a space between the words) 4. Add the text you want to appear TweakXP can do this for you easily.

enriquecaliente
Oh I found that Window Title can reside in two different locations. After I did the procedure as listed, I re-started my IE and nothing changed. I then ran regedit again and started to root aroung and found the same thing in HKEY_CURRENT_USER :) Once I modified it to read what I wanted, I exited and re-started IE. And the change was present. :woot: Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. :)
