HoboCop Posted June 13, 2002 Share Posted June 13, 2002 Okay I'm building a new p4 2ghz (400fsb) system :) but im not sure what motherboard to use - I'm thinking a Asus P4b266 cuz i heard alot of good stuff from that one. Im gonna be usin pc2100 ddr ram (hey im on a budget here...) 60 gig hd GeForce 3 Ti200 (i can get it for 100$ :) ) and a bunch of other crap... so wut do u guys think? Any opinions? Hey you did know that the fsb is not really 400 rt, its really 100fsb over 4 pipelines Oh and yes The Asus is a good choice, also look @ Abit, Both companies have good overclocking capability, i mean if you need it ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Qba73 Posted June 13, 2002 Share Posted June 13, 2002 Drop the Gforce 3 ti200, you can get a ATI 8500 Retail for like 150 which blows the ti400 away let along the ti200 (g3) also image quality is alot better....i was a former nvidianite and ATI has really gotten there act together and this is an impressive card. daliam Posted June 13, 2002 Share Posted June 13, 2002 From my experience GIGABYTE boards are very good, as are Spacewalker ones, Spacewalker particularly for benchmarks.
