Bizarre triple killing follows role-playing game

SAO PAULO, Brazil (AP) ? A 21-year-old Brazilian man and his parents were killed after the man agreed to be murdered along with his family if he lost a murder-mystery role-playing game, news media reported Saturday.

Authorities said the man and two others were playing characters who might be murdered depending on the outcome of the game. After Thiago Andrade Guedes lost, he allegedly allowed the other men to carry out the killings, just as happened in the game.

Guedes and his parents were killed April 26 after being drugged and tied to a bed, police said. Their bodies were found nine days later at the home in Guarapari, about 710 kilometres northeast of Sao Paulo.

Mayderson de Vargas Mendes and Ronald Ribeiro Rodrigues confessed and were charged with murder, police said.

I don't quite follow how this is 'nerd free news'?

But regardless, playing a russian roulett game online, and betting property that doesn't belond to you (eg. your family) is completely wrong.

WARNING: EXTREMELY UNFUNNY COMMENTS FOLLOW THIS WARNING. TWISTED HUMOR AHEAD

No, topic clearly states "tripple killing"... UT2004 calls this "multi kill".

[/sick humor]

That's actually really f*cked up. He was playing russian roullette online, and he lost, so he let them kill him?

"/sigh... you guys win, 12345 Garden Lane, come on over..."

I don't understand why he'd simply resign and do that, unless there's something I'm missing about the whole story.

Again, there's no indication it was a video game. RPG's are also played in real life and not just digitally.

Only in America.... oh wait it happened in Brazil.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :p

Wow, I've heard of some twisted stuff happening because of games but this takes the cake. There are some seriously screwed up people in this world.
