Redmak Administrators Posted June 13, 2002 Administrators Share Posted June 13, 2002 Yep, 2x
Kusanagi
Nah... I'd rather play a game at 249895828fps without FSAA than at 60fps with FSAA :)
3dfx
Yeah, I play my games at the higher resolutions i can get all maxed out, but without FSAA, it looks a bit blurry ;)
Quboid
I use 2x in Fifa2002, which badly needs it. Also, Morrowind looks better with it and it doesn't seem to effect the performance problems.
lazydesert
expand(fsaa); whats fsaa ?
Max
i would rather have the fps :) especially with ut, who needs anyway!
Truman
Erm... what is fsaa, i'd take a guess at Full Screen Anti Anilising ( can't spell it ) I just install games and play 'em :D
Rivak
FSAA = Full Scene Anti-Aliasing It removes the jaggies in games, at the cost of FPS.
nohoy
i put my radeon aiw 8500 all the way up, everything as high as it will go and all in quality settings. so i think its 6x aa and then 16x antristropic filtering for games like half life and counterstrike in opengl and still get about 70 fps. but for other games i dont do that i just run whatever is best. mostly ill go 16x antistropic and no fsaa. Celsyus
i use quincunx on my GF3. the FPS is close to what it is without it, with much better quality.
mart3ll
I use 4x + S-filter. the s-filter smooths it out VERY nicely without the blurring effect and I don't seem to get that much of a performance hit in games...
XPUSER
I don't use FSAA on my GeForce4 Ti Because FPS under
UKer
I use 2X and never notice any difference in framerate with it. Got used to it so don't like to play without as it is noticably better looking with it.
