Martyn
:( do i need to try these 2 antispyware becoz im using microsoft antispyware 585939405[/snapback] It would be advisable to, I myself use MS Antispyware, Ad-aware and Spybot. I also use Spyware Blaster for prevention. Try them all, it cant do any harm.
Altered State of Consciousness
MS-AS sucks. It does not find a lot of spyware, and repeatedly has false alarms. Or at least, last time I used it. :)
ianhale
i agree with that. missed so much on mine, and pointed out stupid stuff.
fanboynz
Adaware(free) and spy sweeper (not free, but the trial version is enough to remove the spyware), another hint, update the definitions, then scan in safemode. If the spyware is really stubborn, hijackthis may pick it up (just be very careful with it).
PunkRock_Junky
The Yahoo Toolbar has their "Anti-Spy" bundled with it. Basically, it is a free version of PestPatrol, one of the pioneers of spyware removal. They have been around spyware for years and they have a huge libary of definitions (some of them false alarms), but it could also really help you out. If this still doesnt work, what I recommend is use the Spybot you have installed and go into Advanced User Mode. It will have a warning, just click yes. Then go to the tools menu (it is on the left of the screen) and go into Startup. It will give you a list of all the objects that start up and usually will give you a description of that object. If there is anything in there that says it is adware/spyware, just simply uncheck
