Erftek
Which OS do you use and why? Easy on the flames people. I use all of the above.... but use windows the most. I've been thinking about diving more into Linux using Ubuntu on my laptop and was just curious what some of the fellow neowinians are using. Purple Haze
I have XP on this (my main machine), 2k on and old laptop, and OSX 10.3.9 on my Powerbook. If I had $$ I'd probably buy a dual G5 and use OSX more, but I don't hate XP at all.

I think I might switch to Debian though (I'm begining to pick the software I use based on which has less dependencies I have to compile). I have Windows XP but only use it when I want to game, which is not that often.

Barney T. Administrators Posted May 21, 2005 Administrators Share Posted May 21, 2005 Glad to see people trying different types of OSs (dual-booting, multiple computers, etc.). The computing world is big and there is room for all OSs and tastes. Whatever works for the user is the correct choice for them. Personally, I love Linux too. No restrictive EULAS, no defragging, no viruses, no trojans, no BSOD, no BHOs, no spyware, updates that update every program on your system (not just the OS). I also use XP only for my on-line banking but that's because I have too......... Barney
