Here are answers to some of your questions...

And about the Java Control Panel. I don't use java at all my self so i'm not bothered by this problem. How often do you really use it anyway. :rolleyes:

Even though this rather strange Java Control Panel issue affects my installation, as my good colleague, ThemeGenie (Lynchknot) of Firefox skinning fame would state when he would get emails about certain extensions having issues with his themes: He will only support/explore issues with those extensions he uses himself...lol so I can't really fault you here...

Albeit, I must admit that the first thing that I checked after installing LunaElement3, was the Java Control Panel window...lol Yes, I do not utilize it much at all, but what really has me perplexed is about why some of us have the issue and some do not...

Having done a complete clean install of my WinXP SP2 laptop, the original LunaElement displays this Java Panel properly, whereas LE2 & LE3 do not...And I am not going into detail of what some members have guessed, being its a uxtheme.dll patched issue...or SP2...

Something that I will just over look...Fortunes of war...lol

:p

Ah ... well I don't use Java taht much. I just opeend the window this morning and noticed that and thought it would be good to let you know, and because I heard of the problem before but nothing about a fix or why is it!! Anyways, not that important just to let you know, and I have XP SP2 and no extheme.dll patch.

Thanks em3 for the reply :)

Here are answers to some of your questions...

There is nothing wrong with the shellstyle, the color totaly match. I wanted it to match the scrollbar, not the captionbar. Though if Dazzla want to release a new vesion of his shellstyle I'm not going to stop him. ;)

I have never promised a Winamp Skin. :no:

A WB port is being made I think, by SkinStudio. Haven't heard from him in a while though. :huh:

There shouldn't be a user image at the top of the startmenu in Royal Style. I removed it.

The new Normal style top of the startmenu is better imo. If a few people don't agree I'm not going to bother about it.  :p

you didnt exactly promise a winamp skin but i think this is pretty close to a promise:

Here are the changes planed for LE3.

Done:

* new captionbars for all styles exept royal (Royal improved a little though)

* improved caption buttons for all styles

* improved taskbar (might not be finished yet)

* improved green startbutton (might be a problem for languages where the text is not "start")

* improved scrollbars and spinners

* improved buttons (just a little)

* improved some stuff on startmenu

Left to do...

* new tray arrow and maybe tray area (if you have ideas, please post image :))

* nicer start menu menus

* fix startmenu menu new application bug (right border pixel missing)

* new progressbar (maybe)

* compact startmenu option in the fontsize list for all styles (I saw this in a theme called Gel XP. Don't know how to accomplish this yet though. If someone know, please send me a PM.)

Thing I will not do, so don't ask...

* More alternate startbuttons

* Application skins (ie Y's Dock, Winamp)

* Other colors (not yet anyway)

I need a few beta testers for this version. Send me a PM if you are intressted. I want this version to be just perfect before I release it. I might not reply all PM's if there are a lot. People who use foreign versions of Windows have priority, where the start button say other than 'start'.

Hey,

  I've got an error (as with LE2) I've got SP2 and I used the Newowin patcher 4.0 JUST to use this theme. But er ....well I'll let the picture explain. :D Oh and Thanx you for the person who mad the Logon/off/shutdown boxes for these theme and for the Logo Dazzle and for the shell.dll ...this looks perfect now it should of been this way from the start.

Uau! How you it makes this (Boxes of Logon/off/shutdown) ? It is some archive? Pass for me and as I must active it...

klop,

Yes indeed, that you did such a nice job on these files (I got them back at the very beginning of the LE2 thread), that I even uploaded the file to one of my email servers so that I would always have access to them...lol

Thanks again for sharing, and it really complements this beautiful VS...

:yes:

i've still got the problem with approcket, looks like it has to do with the gap there is between the top of the screen and the program, it doesn't have that on other visual styles

Installed and tested the program. And had almost identical problems as you. Don't know how to fix it though. Maybe you should try and make your own skin for it. :)

LE3 is nice, but still using 2.5. In my opinion I think LE2.5 has the best Compact taskbar and Green Start button. Noticed with versions after 2.5 the compact green start button took on a different look, and taskbar has been growing. Anyway, nice to have the different versions to choose from.

Thanks for sharing, em.

Sorry I dont mean to bug...but Dazzle I found a small bug with your shell :D lookie at the picture please fix this (oh I'm in love with this Theme) and I have Dazzles Windows login installed/klops shutdown/logoff boxes installed :D and Lclock I'm in total love with this them and all the nice people who made all this great stuff this is how windows should of been. it's easy on the eyes and just beatiful (I just wish we could take xpize and sub royal for this them and have Dazzles logon/klops shutdown/logoff boxes and this lil them changed (see the pic below)

    • Anthropic launches Claude Fable 5, a state-of-the-art AI model that beats OpenAI's GPT-5.5 by Pradeep Viswanathan Back in April, Anthropic announced Claude Mythos Preview, a frontier model with state-of-the-art coding capabilities. Due to the cybersecurity implications that would occur due to the availability of such a powerful model, Anthropic made it available to only a select set of companies around the world. The company's plan was to prepare appropriate guardrails before releasing such a powerful model to everyone. Now, after nearly two months, Anthropic announced Claude Fable 5, its most capable AI model yet for general users. The company also announced Claude Mythos 5, the same underlying model as Fable 5, but with safeguards lifted, making it more suitable for selected cybersecurity and biology use cases. Claude Fable 5 sits a tier above its Opus models and it beats most other generally available models across areas including software engineering, knowledge work, vision, scientific research, and long-running autonomous tasks. To prevent model misuse, when Claude Fable 5 detects certain requests related to cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, or model distillation, the request will be routed to the Claude Opus 4.8 model. Anthropic claims that these safeguards trigger in less than 5% of sessions on average. However, for large organizations working on critical software, Claude Mythos 5 can be availed through Project Glasswing. Later, Anthropic has plans to expand access through a broader trusted access program. As you can notice in the benchmarks above, Fable 5 and Mythos 5 are state-of-the-art on most key AI benchmarks and they are well ahead of OpenAI's frontier model, GPT-5.5. For example, Fable 5 is the new state-of-the-art model for vision tasks. Also, Mythos 5 has the strongest cybersecurity capabilities of any model in the world. Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 are priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens, which is less than half the price of Claude Mythos Preview. Another big change is that Anthropic is making a change to the way they handle business customer data for both Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models. The company will now require 30-day retention for all traffic on both first- and third-party surfaces. Anthropic promises that it won't use the data to train Claude models, instead it will use it against complex and novel attacks. Claude Fable 5 is available today on the Claude API and consumption-based Enterprise plans. It is also included at no extra cost for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise customers from today through June 22. After that, users on those plans will need usage credits to continue using Fable 5, unless Anthropic extends the included access window based on capacity. Developers can access Fable 5 through the Claude API using the claude-fable-5 model name.
