You guys are taking the java issue way to seriously. I recommend uninstalling it. That would solve all your problems.

This is no solution for people who develop java programs.

And as i said before this problem should also occur in Netbeans IDE, JBuilder, ArgoUML, ...

As an artist/designer with perfectionistic qualities, I'm glad that you are also seeing some humour in our situation... ;)

If those of us who are unfortunate to experience this issue can come up with relatively easy solution, that would not involve reinventing the wheel-lol I'm pretty sure that you would fully explore/investigate same...

In the past, you have always demonstrated the willingness to investigate some issues that members were experiencing, and this is/was always greatly appreciated...

decided to give le3 more time. i appreciate the suttle changes em3. :D

however, i've noticed at windows start-up, the start button takes a few seconds to complete. see screenshot below.

just wondering if anyone else noticed this?

Not something i've noticed, got alot of other programs running at startup?

Yeah, noticed it too, but I woke up this morning, so I guess it didn't kill me. :) Didn't think it was a big deal.

it's not a big deal. just figured i'd post about it here rather than your method of ignoring it. also, if u mention these things...em3 could be made aware and maybe put out a possible fix.

Yeah...a great theme it is. Now if only I could find a nice wallpaper to go along with it.  :pinch:

how about these:

or one I did for myself: http://img84.echo.cx/img84/5499/oldschool1wz.jpg

I have some questions for all the people bitching about the Java Crap. Can you see all the info you need to see? Can you click on all the things you need to click on? If so why do you bitch about this very stupid little thing?

Gotta point there.

It's not likely em will rack his brain for only a few people that are having issues with only a few programs that most are not even using. If it effected everyone maybe so. Seems like it only effects a few that are using a few select programs. Maybe going back to an earlier LE version that works for you would be better than the frustration some of you are going through.

I like the compact v2.5 the best, and it works great, so that's what I'm using. Just my opinion..

lol, as the 'whole point of pointing out various issues' is to help assist em3 in achieving his goal of making a very nice, clean VS LunaElement3 as close to 100% bug/glitch free as possible...

Even my good colleague Lynchknot (ala ThemeGenie) of Firefox skinning fame (although he has a policy similar to em3-whereas he will not 'rack his brains' on a extension that is causing issues with his skins, he at least will install the extension in question, and see if he can reproduce the issue...)

Constructive comments like, my setup is as follows:

xxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxx

And I have not experienced any JRE/JDK Sun Java issues (Java Control Panel window buttons being properly skinned) with either LunaElement, LunaElement2, or LunaElement3...

are valuable so that we can make a comparitive analysis...

No crap and what did em3 say to that problem. Get real that stupid bug is not worth him busting his ass to fix. Another thing you do not need to state Lynchknot's name every time you post. I think we know him by now.

STFU, noob and get the hell out if you don't like it! The only reason we're posting about the issue is to be helpful. If em3 doesn't give a crap, then fine, I felt like since I experienced a problem, that I should report it.

Well if you look at recent posts, I think you will see that they aren't trying to bust em3's balls about fixing the java problem. I think they are just trying to figure out what the exact problem is so that they can HELP em3 fix it it. This is a help forum, isn't it? No, its probably NOT the VS, but the VS has made it apparent.

But it is obviously a problem, because more than one person is having this same issue.

Let them work it out and move along.

Don't tell me to move along. I will move on when I feal like it. I am not a noob look at your dates and look at mine

Yes, but look at your post count. Obviously dates don't mean a whole lot.

Just relax they aren't bothering you.

    • Well Statcounter doesn't count Edge users as Chrome. It uses the user agent and my understanding is the Brave browser users the standard Chrome user agent for privacy/tracking reasons and compatibility so that would help the Chrome numbers. Some Firefox users change the user agent for again compatibility reasons. I am going to totally guess the Chrome numbers are inflated some 5 or 6%.

    • Easier to move to Firefox, either Zen Browser or LibreWolf (which includes it by default)
