1st human cloned!

Recommended Posts

Well, this isn't much of a breaktrough, the real breakthrough actually happned about 3 months ago by a bunch of Koreans that cloned another cell (not human). Although even that was not much of a breaktrough, the real breaktrough will happen when we legalise cloning, as soon as we do that, then we will start to see a lot of weird experiments, eventually leading to a suprerior lifeform (me :p).

How is society supposed to advance when people cling to 2000+ year old mythology?

Actually, stem cell's can come from a variety of places including adults. However, the stem cells in an unborn fetus have thus far shown the highest amount of adaptability.

WRONG, stem cell research uses aborted babies.

The person who started this thread is completely ignorant to the facts. A human embryo is quite a different thing. The heading should be changed accordingly.

The Sun is not a credible source by all means. But then again, its people like this who watch network news and believe they are getting true, unbiased, information.

Well the whole point of this cloning embryos business is to create a better source for stem cells.

Thanks. It's not that I didn't believe it, its "old" news. But it did bother me that a source like the sun was used to start off the thread. Please change the thread's heading.

agree with you competly who puts the source down as the sun  lol thats why i found another source. and yes it is old news in the reason that its not the first time its been done if anyone actually reads the sources its only the first time its been done in the UK which just shows how far behind we r :shifty:

Well while I dont think its worng, I can see how folk are upset by it.

However for a thing to be "Alive" as such doesnt it have to be concoius of its enviroment/itself?

I mean at this stage there really more a collection of cells, than a person. Personally if the research involved the destruction of a fetus then I wouldnt be too happy :s
