windoctor only fixes some errors in it. norton cleansweep (versions previous to 2002) have a reg cleaner.

the best, in my opinion, would be Regcleaner, get it from

www.jv16.com

it's free, does it automatically, and also shows you program groups' reg entries, often of progs that are long gone. sometimes by wiping these, you can reinstall trial software that has expired. you can also clean out the add/remove progs section, and some more sections.
