klkl
hi i've searched this forum and found many possible solutions. i've tried shift+closing my window. i also tried ctrl+closing the "X" and from "File". (i followed instructions step-by-step) i've reset IE's options. i deleted the reg key "window placement". the only thing i haven't tried is IE maximizer. i'm holding out for a solution that doesn't require a third party app but i might end up switching to FF (which i have installed but don't use). as i said in the thread description IE will not quite remember my window size if the size is too small (which is odd because it was remembering before). someone on another forum already mentioned about a minimum size for a window. i'm sure that's true, but my size was working well yesterday afternoon. it wasn't until i visited the following website: http://www.ultimatebaseballonline.com and clicked on the ESPN spring training link on the right side that IE went bonkers. (one more thing: i cleared my cache/cookies to make sure nothing was "forcing" IE to not resize to a really small window) here are some examples: my current window (as in "open in new window"), this is as small as i can get the browser now that IE will still remember. http://www.whalepod.net/dl/current.jpg what i usually have my normal size window set to: http://www.whalepod.net/dl/winner.jpg --- thanks for any suggestions and/or help. jefexp
I used to use a java script to open IE in the same position, same size every time. But with SP@, you can no longer do that. Here is a work-around that works well: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/resizeiehome.htm
jakej
I've been running into this annoyance too. I'll try the JavaScript thing - there's no way to add it on without losing a homepage like Google, correct? Radical
