Blog or Forum?

I don't know about you but I am sick to death of hearing the news Describe Forums as BLOGS. I guess im trying to figure out what the real name is supposed to be, but after being on the net for almost 10 years I've come to know forums as forums not as blogs, and it just irks me. As for me.... VIVA LA FORUM! :woot:

Its funny too tho how can you get BLOG and FORUM mixed up? They aren't even close in wording at all! Just goes to show how out of touch the rest of the world, including the media, is out of touch with technology

I realize they are but the fact that CNN and MSNBC are reporting sites with teh same structure as NEOWIN's forums as popular hangouts for adults is misconceded

All the sites I've seen them report on CNN are blog structured. I guess I missed the forums.

Forums are much unknown to the computer illiterate (which is a good thing, hope it stays that way). Blogs are made well known mostly because of an unknown attraction to it by businesses.

I either call them forums or an internet community. Blogs are something totally unrelated.

I don't know quite a lot about Blog, but forum is like a community while blog is more of a personal space I think.

Perhaps they are referring to neowin's main page when they call it a blog, becuase of the news entries.
