kjordan2001
I bought an xp 1800+ with a gigabyte 7xdr+ mobo, and I was wondering if I should get some thermal paste and put it on, or whether I need it. I don't have any plans to overclock it yet, but should I put some on anyways? And also, is the fan that comes with it good enough to keep it nice and cool or should I get a different one? username
you should be just fine, dont worry, just make sure you have decent case circulation so that heatsink can breath. What are your temps right now? (in C)

khaos34
if you wanna be safe, put some arctic silver 3 on there. i'm not sayin' you need it, but there's no harm in bein' secure. It only takes a minute to put it on :p Good luck, yo.
xWeston
I would never run any processor without some type of thermal paste. I use artic silver for my processors.
