y would anyone want to overclock their 1.0GHZ+ CPU!?!??!?!?!!?!!?!

i mean there is no game or program out there that even needs a faster CPUT than 1.0GHZ, not to mention 1.5GHZ!!

i must agree, the programs out there are light years behind the cpu capabilities of todays market (except for graphic apps), i guess pp overclock, like myself for the challenge, besides how upset are pp when they walk out a show or store with a brand new x.x speed processor..only to find out that when you get home its already outdated..lol. Overclocking takes away some of that aggrivation knowing you have ceiling room you know.

some people have signatures turned off... (like me) and i'm lazy to go to User opitons, turn signatures on,look on your sig an then disable sigs again.Signatures are @!#$ download slower even if you're on modem or Cable.

Really ..well i knew i was a fool when i got my new hardware...

Kompressor you are right.. AMD and Intel are so fools. There is no demand for bigger power indeed... Photoshop 7.0 AutoCad ... Corel... All those can run in 1 Ghz Processors as fast as in 2Ghz Processors..

:right: This is getting funnier and funnier ...

athlon 1800 AGKGA (yuck) locked and fsb of 151 (so far) @ 1749mhz stable

radeon 8500 AIW @ 300 core

310 memory (not exact numbers, i jump these around some)

oh and today is the second day for that chip :) yet i cant get it to post with a 156 mhz fsb to make it essentially a 2200+

oh and the reply to why is cause it keeps me off drugs (hell its the best explanation for it, a lot better than because)
