AlienX1088
After I *thought* I had researched carefully, I decided to buy the Gigabyte 7VRXP. I had never heard of any problems with it and Windows XP until I just the last ((4)) reviews on it on newegg. My question is: Do you or anyone you know own a 7VRXP? If so, do you/they have any problems with it and Windows XP? Or, with any GeForce 4 card? I really hope it's just bad luck, because I'm going to be ****ed off if the first motherboard I buy turns out to be a flaky piece of crap..oh well thats life. Should have done more extensive research. BTW the only reason I don't try it out myself is because my RAM doesn't arrive till Wednesday..Thanks everyone and sorry for the annoyance. EDIT: Could it be a revision problem? Meaning that the 1.1 revision..um.."fixed" the problems?
AlienX1088
Blah..never mind..should have donr more research on the subject before I went ballistic. It turns out its mostly to be a power related problem, tho they are still not sure.
username
yes, you have to have at least 180watts on the 5v and 3v rails of your PSU prevent power problems
