Binary, is it just me or does 'g','y', 'p', 'q' 'j' kind of cut off at the very end of the letter? can you fix that in the next release?

i'm not sure if it is with all fonts but i know it is if you change the titlebar to "MS Sans Serif"

that shouldnt have anything to do with the theme...

*shrug* I'd need a screenshot cause I really have no idea what your talking about. My fonts are fine anyways.

First, thanks for your work, this is the best theme for me!!

I have the same problem!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi Binary,

I just downloaded this theme from themexp.org, it's fantastic but I have one niggle.. whenever I maximise a window such as internet explorer I get a small 1-2mm border along the top of the screen wher it doesn't fill, I don't mean maximise with button but when right clicking start bar and tiling a window, maybe i'm just being a perfectionist but it'd be great if you could sort it. :)

thx. great theme.

can't, it's a limitation of the msstyle if you use transparency.

Sorry

----------------------------------------------------------------------

What you mean with " you use transparency."

How can I fix this?

Thanks again!

It can't be fixed. I dont know what the big deal is, most people dont leave windows in a fullscreen unmaximized state very long anyways :) And by transparency I mean there are 2 pixels above the titlebar that are transparent to make the theme look right. Windows doesnt understand this transparency, so it figures the 2 pixels are there (I believe even windowblinds has this issue with it's skins). If you notice, Luna has 2 pixels above the caption buttons, I dont know why MS put them off centre like that, so I blame them ;) Believe me if there was a way to fix that "bug" and the unable to resize a small window bug, I would have fixed them by now :)

Chris is absolutely right..... This is due to the fact that a window has a border.... which cannot be removed during skinning and this adds the extra pixels to the top (and all the other sides too)... so you have two choices.... make the titlebar luna style.... or do it the way chris did (and MS in their original implementation).....

Great Work Binary......

I await 5.0.....

I know that you can please some of the people all of the time, and you can please all of the people some of the time, but can my time be now? I was just wondering how hard it would be for me to be able to have three rows of icons in the tray in addition to three rows of time, day, and date. If that's something I can change with ResHack, just let me know how to do it so that I don't have to bug anyone, but that's what I really really want........

I dunno if your the one who emailed me, but I am sure if I allow three rows of icons they will overlap the system tray somewhere from 3 rows and up. I have tried to keep this theme as neat as I can, So I dont want to attempt messing it up for people which may have lower resolutions and what not.... :)

Plus I dont see why it matters?

It doesn't *really* matter all that much... I just like the consolidation of having it take up as little space horizontally as possible. Right now, I'm still switching between Watercolor 3.1 and Crystal, which both allow three rows of icons. 3.1 does work well for me, so I can continue to use that if it's not something you're planning on fixing. In any case, Thanks for at least making it possible to have three rows of the time in the tray. That's a very useful feature. =)

I did email you once upon a time when your computer wasn't working all that well, but that was regarding three rows of time, day, and date, not three rows of icons. I just thought that three rows of time also automatically meant three rows of icons. I guess not. =)

Oh well.

I'll get over it....

....I'm over it. :)

sorry if I sounded like a prick. I can look into fixing it, but I do have it at two rows for the reason mentioned above. But even if I do fix that it wont be included untill next version which may be another 6 months away knowing my timeline;);) If I fix it I'll send it to you or something.

Chris

No need to apoligize at all. =) No offense taken.

What you've done with it is very nice! I can't tell what little things have been changed from 3.1 to 4.0 or 4.2, but for you to edit a "Final" version and continue to fix it up is very admirable. =)

If the fix is something that's relatively easy to do, or it's just one file that needs to be edited, you could just let me know which one and how. I've never tried to edit an msstyle before, but I can't imagine it being all that difficult to change that one thing, once you know what the one thing is... =)

k I updated it.

Like I said, the bottom icon now overlaps the line on the tray if it's a full 16x16 icon, but if you dont care I dont care. I only use my taskbar at one height :)

Here's the updated version:

Watercolor 4.2.1

Chris

This is perfect! =)

Don't ever let anybody say that you never do anything nice for anybody. I remember way when 3.1 was the "Final" version. Then you came out with 4.0, and the people rejoiced. 4.2 was even better, and you continue to fix things on something that was "Final" months ago. =)

Watercolor rocks!

And Binary rocks!

(That's my way of saying thank you. I really appreciate this, even if I'm the only one who is as picky as I am.) =)

Alex Kelm has so generously offered to be the primary Watercolor source!! (no more slow/erronous ThemeXP or draining my ISP account ;), unless you so wish), so thanks alot to Alex Kelm!

here are the new links:

4.2:

4.2.1 (slight "fix" for people who wanted a 3 icon height in the system tray when the taskbar is 2 Heights) :

Thanks again Alex :)

Chris

binary small bug... ;)

    • Apple would rather delay Siri AI than open iOS to rival assistants in the EU by Pradeep Viswanathan At WWDC 2026, Apple today announced a revamped Siri AI experience for iOS and iPadOS users. However, this new Siri AI experience will not be available on iPhones and iPads in the European Union when iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 launch later this year. In a detailed press release, Apple blamed the Siri delay on the EU’s Digital Markets Act, highlighting that EU regulators did not accept its proposed solutions for bringing Siri AI to the region. Consequently, there is currently no timeline for Siri AI’s availability on iOS and iPadOS in the EU. Here is what EU users will be missing due to this delay: Siri AI, Apple’s next-generation assistant powered by Apple Intelligence A new dedicated Siri app for revisiting conversations Expanded Visual Intelligence features Integrated AI-assisted writing tools Siri mode in Camera on iOS Other system-level AI features Since the new Siri experience on watchOS 27 is dependent on an iOS 27 device, EU users will also miss out on Siri AI on watchOS 27. The most frustrating part is that even developers based in the EU will not be able to test or use the new Siri AI features for their apps on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and watchOS 27. In its press release, Apple mentioned that making Siri AI available in the EU would require the company to give other AI assistants (like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini) broad access to private user data and the ability to control installed apps. Essentially, the EU wants competing AI systems to be able to read and send messages, make purchases, access files, and perform actions across apps. To address these concerns, Apple proposed an intermediary system called Trusted System Agent. This system would have allowed other virtual assistants to access the same features as Siri AI in a safer way. However, the European Commission rejected Apple's proposals, and it is currently unclear why. The good news is that Apple stated it will continue working with EU regulators to bring Siri AI to the region. For now, however, iPhone and iPad users in the EU will have to wait. If platform gatekeepers such as Apple and Google reserve deep operating system capabilities only for their own AI assistants, rival services such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and others will be at a major disadvantage. Modern AI assistants are no longer simple chatbots. They require access to core OS-level capabilities such as reading on-screen context, interacting with installed apps, sending messages, creating calendar events, managing files, and completing user-approved actions across the device. If only Siri on iOS or Gemini on Android can access these capabilities, competing AI services will struggle to offer the same level of convenience, even if their underlying models are better. This is exactly what the European Union's DMA is trying to address. Apple and Google should be allowed to protect user privacy and security, but they should not be permitted to use those concerns as a blanket excuse to block rival AI assistants from getting fair access to core platform features. A secure permission-based framework could allow users to choose their preferred AI assistant without giving any company unrestricted access to personal data.

    • When I was a teen, I actually believed that the government used to be always be the bad guy. However as an adult, someone who has actually seen the Law work (though not perfect). I now think everyone cries a river. In this specific case, the so called freedom has consequences to society. Anyone who has seen how child are indeed affected, and I don't mean only extreme things like getting drugs or hate crimen , but no one can deny society as a whole has gone down a rabbit hole due to exesive use of internet. Before anyone calls out that it's the parents responsibility. Yes that's true, but the reality your family/kids might be good people. There are 99% out there who are not and have been brain dead by many things on the internet.
