Where do you put your subwoofer?

Recommended Posts

It does make a difference how far or close it is. If it is good or not is up to you and your ears. If it is too close to you it might give you a headache. Try it in different locations. Mine is in a built in bookshelve between my right hand desk drawers.

A little to the left, as they say. Under the desk, to the left where it's not in my way. It doesn't matter for a sub where is it to the human on a hoziontal plane is it's not about positional sound so it being on my left doesn't unbalance sound. I have it on the floor because I like the floor shaking :)

Quoting from Cambridge SoundWorks FPS1000 Manual:

"The Subwoofer does not contribute to directional sound effects. Its optimum positin is on the floor against the wall. The closer the Subwoofer is to the corner, the stronger the maximum bass output."

yeah, on the floor in the middle of my room works for me. The front speakers are on each corner of the room and the center speaker is on top the monitor. The rear speakers are on the wall behind me so my 5.1 Kicks sweet....

mine was on a shelf that runs between the legs of my desk, like a foot rest. shook the desk.

then it was one the floor. made my case vibrate.

now its in the bootom of my bedside table to the right of me.

doesn't really matter where you put it if it sounds good to you

the floor...dont put it next to ur monitor....the magnet in the woofer can screw up the monitor as it changes the polarity or some **** like that in the monitor.
