Question

Hi;

I'm trying to install VB6 Pro onto my Windows2000 laptop

When i run the installer i get the following error msg:

"The procedure entry point CriticalSection could not be located in the dynamic link libary KERNAL32.dll"

I don't have a clue what to do!

PS i've got the .NET FrameWork installed on this PC could that be the probelm?

Thanks for the time

well .net framework is like the vb7 runtimes if on not mistaken plus a little bit more? therefore install vb6 first then .net so that the .net overwrites the vb6 runtimes wit hversion 7. That could be whats giving you your error. I'm running both and did it that way, let me know how things go. I'll be home later on if you need help (probably 6:00pm est)

That I do not know about. As far as I would imagine it shouldn't because then why distribute the framework for customers that don't have the money to upgrade to vb.net or visual studio.net? It shouldn't effect it, but I haven't used vb in ages...good luck, you shouldn't have any problems! :p
