Lisa95
We are using Windows XP and in my profile I can use IE without any problems, but when my husband tries to use it in his profile, it won't open any links that are clicked on. What do I do to resolve this. Thanks
bangbang023 Veteran Posted June 1, 2005 Veteran Share Posted June 1, 2005 first step would be to go to ie then go to tools/options/programs tab and from there check on the box on the bottom that says for IE to check whether it is the default browser or not. restart IE and see if this fixes anything. Lisa95
I just checked on that and the box is checked for it to check to see if it is the default browser. So that's not the problem either. thanks
parhamreza
This is a very common problem with IE, (pre-SP1). Check this: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...b;EN-US;Q281679 Hope it helps.
Lisa95
Thanks. I have done the first half of the solution and it didn't help, but where do I go to find out about the registry keys that it is talking about and how do I go about fixing the registry keys. Thanks so much for your help.
