CipherFlaw
I have a linksys router at home not connected to the internet, I only use it for ftp (for now), and a wireless router that that I use to connect to the internet. They are far apart thats why I do this. The problem is I can only do one or the other. My desktop only goes through the wireless internet if it's not plugged in the router. To me it seems like once you put a Lan cord in, it forgets about the wireless. What I want to be able to do is ftp from my router to my computers and be able to be on the internet at the same time. I cant figure out how to do this. I have WinXP Pro sp2
Axon
Well, I don't know about Linksys system, but my Microsoft MN-700 router(s) allow me to set them as "switches". So I just teir them, I have three of them linked up throughout my house, but only one of them acts as the gateway. You can check with other memebers here. I've heard there are different third party firmwares you can install that might be just what you need. -Ax
