Any chance of a WindowBlinds port in the near future?

Here's a screenie of the WB version that I moded. In doing the mod I started with the compact version because I like the thinner taskbar. I then expanded the compact Startmenu to full size. The standard full size Startmenu's are 380. To me that's to wide. The one shown is 340.

As you can see the Start button has been changed to the LH Flag. The most of fonts were changed to the LH Segoe UI font. I fixed the treenode to include the plus & minus and lightened the gray on the plus so it could easly be read. The button was resized so that the caculator buttons display correctly.

Since Valkyre has made this an open source VS you can pm me if you want the WB version. I've done this with both the BlackMesa and BlueMesa versions. Or as someone else suggested you can download Skinstudio and make you own version.

The theme is great, but there seems to be a bug when using foreign (or only french one) version of Windows.

I use a french WinXP SP2 and here is how the startbutton looks like :

The end of the word "D?marrer" (which is french for "Start") appears although it shouldn't.

Can this be fixed ?

Abelthorne - If you're using WB it can be fixed using Skin Studio by opening Mesa and clicking on the Startbutton. You will need to change the values for the Contents Margins. It currently show vales of Left -80, Right 85, Top -25, Buttom 9. Decresae the Right values until you get the desired results.

If you're using VS you can use Style Builder to do the same. It's been a while since I've messed with Style Builder but it should be similar to what was described above for Skin Studio.

The Hermit - shellstyle? The BlueMesa was ported from BlackMesa and had no shellstyle. BlackMesa has a shellstyle but it appears it was made different and will not port correctly into Skin Studio to include the shellstyle.

Well, I use the VS (with uxtheme.dll patched by the Neowin tool) and I've tried to import the msstyle in StyleBuilder.

Before you answered, I tried to tweak a bit and found out that by modifyng the text font size, the problem went away.

Problem : when I compile the new msstyle and copy it over the old one, BlackMesa doesn't appear anymore in the Appearance settings.

As I'm not familiar with StyleBuilder, I don't really know what I'm doing wrong...

Abelthorne - Try doing a Save As of the new VS you compiled.

Disposable_hero - pm me with an email address.

Bilksem - I used the Segoe UI font and everything works fine. You might try that.

    • Well duh. But it's not their agenda, they just push it forward.
    • Easier to move to Firefox, either Zen Browser or LibreWolf (which includes it by default)
    • People do not care. We are all tourists on this trip called life. So many others thing you can do, should do, then worry about trying to protect data collection. Not using Chrome, the most popular, most compatible and fastest patched browser on the market, because of data collection or some moral/political reason....is a complete waste of time IMHO. But we all get roughly the same amount of time on this trip, feel free to spend yours doing whatever makes you happy.
    • Does anyone know how the Ghostery extension works in Google Chrome? I switched to that quite a while ago, from uBlock Origin after uBlock started having issues just working. Personally I love Ghostery and I think it does a fantastic job, and I really enjoy the whitelist I have built up as well for tons of websites that don't serve ads so that it isn't blocking good elements of them by accident.
