bangbang023 Veteran Share Posted June 3, 2005 LCD projection has a light bulb and 3 much smaller internal lcd panels which work together to project the image on the screen. Sort of a dumbed down description, but it works. The screen is not made of liquid crystal or anything.

bangbang023 Veteran Share Posted June 3, 2005 Newer LCD's tend to have higher contrast ratios than their LCD Projo counterparts. Also, be aware, you will have to replace the bulb every 2 to 3 years.
