Altered State of Consciousness
...what could've changed in a version of 0.01, starting to act like FX :p Ver. 8.01 contains security and stability enhancements, as well as a new file in the program directory, that helps Opera load certain sites (browser.js). Keep an eye out for the changelog, if you wish to know more.
YtseJam
RC1 has been pulled and a new build should go live soon (maybe today, maybe later on).
megamanXplosion
8.01 also includes many rendering fixes. Opera 8.01 is just a few problems away from passing the Acid2 test now :) Before (Version 8.00) After (Version 8.01)

soldier1st
there is a bug that does not seem to be present in version 8,sometimes when you try to close a tab with the x as the close button on it,opera will report it has encountered an error and then crashes but good thing you can pick up where you left off.other than that opera 8.01 is great.and jedrzej in your sig that guy is dressed up as the black power ranger with a cape, his name was zack from the old series. Johnston
also in the one they pulled of the site cause of the bugs, try to go into fullscreen and then out of fullscreen again, notice the recycle bin is gone, and so is the new page button.... ah well it was a release candidate and not official, the official build should be out shortly

deiong15
ive tried to use this browser a few times because of peoples recommendations. ive never uninstalled anything faster on any of my machines then this. i sure wish browsers would go back to being useful like netscape navigator before aol killed it off.` nowadays browsers are so bloughted they are useless. worbd
ive tried to use this browser a few times because of peoples recommendations. ive never uninstalled anything faster on any of my machines then this. And what might the reason for that be? i sure wish browsers would go back to being useful like netscape navigator before aol killed it off. Wow... Netscape 4 was a pile of horse dung. It's probably one of the worst browser ever. And that's coming from someone who desperately clung to Netscape, ignoring the fact that IE was way better by then. nowadays browsers are so bloughted they are useless. Actually, Opera is smaller, faster and cleaner than the old Netscape. What do you mean by "bloat" anyway?
xmaxx
had to shove my 2 cents here. i have used ALL the browsers, and i do mean ALL, was brought up from the Lynx era to IE4 and the subsequent giant killer Netscape. and i have seen them go the Freeware way, and start to suck. Netscape was a God sent, but then in the later version very weird things started to happen with it. IE has gotten fatter and fatter as the version numbers go up and it takes more and more resources to run. i thought i saw a rebirth in Firefox, but the plugin problems with it is quite evident. Opera has been consistently getting better and better through time. i wish it remains this way, cause i have finally found a browser that delivers on its promises.
