Computer loud!

i just noticed on my power supply that there's this button

i can change it to 115V and 230V

it's at 115V all the time

is this safe?

Don't go changing that or you will fry your computer...

uh, that's not for overclocking your computer...that's if you go to another country where their voltage system is different. don't change that. it won't do you any good.

just get a different fan or something. or maybe its old and junky and there's a bunch of dirt that's clogging up the fan. or maybe you just need to put the case back on. :)

LOL yes, if you live in the US (north america) keep it at 115v, it has to do with the AC coming in

wI-OSMAN-,

sometimes the CPU/System fan ball bearings will go bad. You really have to determine which one needs to be replaced by you auditory sense.

I've heard of some computers containing rubber washers that are put on between the HD/CDROM and the case. I dont really know is this works but you could always give it a try.

i'm going to leave it the way it is.. noisy.. and wait until my brother comes home next time.. he's going to bring a new P3 fan from his work :)
