Deadzombie budget PC for wife.

Recommended Posts

Ok, my wife has sold the last two PC's I made for her. She thinks this is some sort of business, I make her a PC from my 'side project' monies, she uses it then sells it at for a profit and keeps all the money for herself.:ermm:

So I'm going to do this one last time, and it's budgeted.

Extra stuff I have (don't email me asking to send it to you):

1 25GB WD 7200 HD

1 256MC pc133 cass2

1 MS Intellimouse Optical

Her special keyboard she wont part with (USB)

1 set Altec Lansing 3 peice speakers

What's the best system I can get, including 17" monitor (min.) for $600.00? I usually shop locally, but that's time consuming.

Give me a list if you want, and where to pick up stuff. If I go with your setup, I'll name the computer after you to annoy my wife!

Two requirements: The system has to be able to support WinXP and get decent frame rates in Q3A (decent enough that I don't have to hear about it, ever.) Yes, my wife can kick your *** at Q3A.

Our friends or neighbors come over and like her computer...everyone knows to Stay away from my systems.

I swear she's sold the last few systems I've made for her...one to a guy working for me! And he knows how to build computers! I'm sitting there telling him "Tommy, you can make this cheaper than what she's asking...I'll tell you where I got the parts, it can be built this afternoon." He asks if I built it, I say yes, he says he doesn't feel like the hassle and he knows my machines are good so he hands her the money! She waves it in front of my face and walks off. I love my wife, really I do ;)

Yeah, a Power Puff Girls case would just keep my kids messing with the system all day and night.
