Dazzla Veteran Posted June 19, 2002 Veteran Share Posted June 19, 2002 Right, it's the first time using it but I'm not a newbie. I know what I'm letting myself in for if it goes ###### up. I just want to know if there is a good place to start or is it all pretty much in at the deep end every way?
0 lazydesert
hey dazzla i just started using litestep a couple/few weeks ago. and found it very easy to set up. I downloaded it from http://www.beyondconvention.net/ohussain/ this guy is part of the core group and the designer of the simplicity theme which is included in his installer.. it installs just like any other program.. he makes it very easy. if you want to move on to different themes/styles, the author using provides every good installation and set up instructions. good luck! 0 Dazzla Veteran Posted June 19, 2002 Author Veteran Share Posted June 19, 2002 Ok, I've got that installed although Noir threw up a load of errors and another one simply left me with nothing. Anyway, back on Simplicity, where is a good resource for litestep themes? Deviantart seem to have lost every litestep theme there, I'm on deskmod now, any others? 0 ilmcuts
https://www.neowin.net/bboard/showthread.ph...5723#post305723 and quoted from https://www.neowin.net/bboard/showthread.ph...15&pagenumber=6 : Anywho this [neowin] isn't really the place for Litestep help, the help you'll get here is very limited. Join the LS Mailing List (blank email to litestep-subscribe@litestep.ru.ac.za, about 20-50 mails/day) or get on IRC sometimes, join #fpn (main channel) and/or #ls2k (less activity) on irc.openprojects.net. Don't even attempt to get help in #litestep though, no matter on which network. and try the demented.org forums: http://forums.demented.org/forumdisplay.ph...p?s=&forumid=96 (free signup) for themes, check out http://www.mindland.it or the other theme resources found on http://litestep.info
