dave_the_scot
Hi to all users Prior to installing Windows XP RC1/RC2, I had been using Norton Personal Firewall 2001 and it worked great in WinMw/Win2k, but it will/does not work with Windows XP. Norton are bringing out an update once XP launches but I'd really like to be using a firewall now. Has anyone been using ICF in WinXP? I would like to have the ICF in WinXP enabled but I am unsure what boxes to check in: # Services # Security # ICMP Do you leave all of the boxes 'unchecked' or do you 'check all' of them or just some of them? If you checked some, which ones? Any help would be appreciated Regards Dave
neeyo
Try to download AtGuard. It's the same thing as NPF (since Symantec acquired AtGuard and just stuck their name on it) it works great on NT/2K/XP. You'll probably have a tough time finding it since its been discontinued and Symantec doesnt want anyone to be able to get AtGuard anymore;. dave_the_scot
Hi neeyo Thanks for your response. Any ideas where I might get ATGuard? I tried searching for it in the usual places but, as you say, it's not readily available. Regards Dave
