Body parts fall from plane, hit garage

Recommended Posts

A man's severed leg - with a white Adidas sneaker still attached - plummeted from the sky onto a garage roof and bounced into the backyard of a Long Island home yesterday morning.

Pam Hearne heard "a very loud bang" outside her family's South Floral Park house at 7a.m., but thought little of it and went to work.

It wasn't until she got back home at 10:30 a.m. that she noticed something bizarre out her window.

"There was a human body part back there," she said. "It was rather large."

The leg, hip and chunk of torso apparently fell from the wheel well of a South African jetliner about to land at Kennedy Airport.

How can you NOT think anything of a loud banging noise (could have been a gunshot or anything!)? I'm sure it was pretty loud if it fell from that high.

these "accidents" happen very often in china where ppl (espeicially kids 8-10) try to get into another country

however, there is no chance of survival especially when the aircraft is at that height and the temperature is extremely harsh

there is one incident where a 8-10 yr old child who managed to survive by grabbing onto a hot-water/air pipe to stay warm. his partner, however, did not survive and fell down and probably died

I'm sure that if it ripped off his whole leg and a piece of his torso, he died instantly. People should know that wheel wells are only big enough for the wheels.

Wow. Don't wheel wells only have enough space for airplane wheels? I bet the man died instantly when the wheel moved in and just ripped his torso off.

That has happened alot. People from my country (cuba) try it all the time, they get inside where the wheel goes and sometimes they freeze to death or die from falling but many people have made it over here.
