P!P
Okay here's the deal. I had a few programs open, including FF, and I tried to open a program and the screen went black for a moment but then returned. However it was very slow. So I quickly Xed out of everything and pressed the Power button (Windows shutdown takes several minutes). I came back and opened everything back up. When I opened FF, I was surprised to see that some of my extension were back to default data and wanted to be set. I then noticed that all except for about the last 15 Toolbar Bookmarks I had were gone. Most of the settings appear to still be here. Although, I had to re-login to Neowin. Is there anyway I can get the missing data somewhere? Aren't all the bookmarks in my profile? Why did only the last few bookmarks make it? Thanks. P!P
I went to C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Pip/Application%20Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/mnt7ybgp.Pip/bookmarks.html and it's the same links. Also bookmarks.bak isn't any help. My last bookmark backup was April 29. Can anyone help?
DigeratiPrime
so in this folder: Documents and Settings\Pip\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles do you see one or two folders? I would just copy the bookmark.html file and delete the entire Mozilla folder in Application Data. Open Firefox, it will create a clean new profile, then copy your bookmarks.html file into the new profile. You may want to check out the Bookmark Backup extension. Also see some of the extensions in my sig. :)
