syscrash2k
Is it possible for me to somehow magically convert my new sblive de 5.1 into an audigy? (somehow magically, that is). and uhh... where can i get these magical files? ;)
I Like Julia
Audigy cards are form sound blaster... The audigy XGamer, the Audigy Mp3, Audigy Platinum, and the Audigy Platinum eX, Play Bass Everyday
Chris123NT
Live! and Audigy are 2 different cards, 2 different animals. The audigy has a newer chipset and it had 24 bit sound which the live does not. So I would not reccomend using the "magical" files :p
username
yeah, if it was true then you would still be hearing about it today
Crazy_Seb
It is true, and i've done it. But i reformatted a few weeks later, and by that time the page was down and so were the files. :ermm: Anyhow, the Audigy is in fact nothing more than a souped up Live! 5.1 card. By using the "magic" drivers, you're infact overclocking your Live! card, in a way. :p
vraa
the audigy has a TRUE 24bit but it doens't really play that.. it just has the capabilities while the live doesn't.. i heard this somewhere on a reveiw comparing the TBSC , live, audigy, and some others.. lol
nartac
I just purchased an Audigy to replace my Live! value and man this card is nice. I don't hear crackles anymore and the "fart" sound when someone log on MS Messenger is gone :p. I even cranked my speaker volume to maximum but heard no humming sound like I used to with the Live! card.
