UnaBonger
Alright, here's the scenario.. A friend has a Palm/Cell Phone Combo thingy... He's having a prob Using HotSync & Windows XP with a serial connection. It seems that HotSync cant find the device, but if the Com Port (Com1) is deleted through Device manager and the system rebooted. Then the Com Port is recognized on boot up and the device can sync until the next reboot... Strange huh? I've already made sure he was running the current versions of HotSync manager & the Palm Desktop... Any Thoughts?
atomoverride
go in the bios and disable the com port see if that works..... or buy a pocketpc mine always sync's. LOL
UnaBonger
Personally I have a HP Jornada that sync's flawlessly every time... I just thought I'd try and help a friend out, but now I'm stummped... Wouldn't disabling the Com port in the BIOS cause it not to be recognized by Windows at all???
