Kusanagi
If I was you, I would get a new pc NOW... if you wanna wait, do so 'till when clawhammer(Athlon 64bits) gets released. It won't take that long ;) Perhaps I'm just saying something lame, but that's my opinion: get a new pc now or wait even more.

Vlad
"Oooooooooh clawhammer *orgasm*." Wait now; you people do realize you're not going to see speed improvements unless software is actually written for a 64 bit processor? Don't wait for clawhammer. It wont run Quake3 twice as fast as current 32 bit CPU's or any other such BS. Gonna laugh my ass off when people drop 200 dollars for a 64 bit CPU when almost -NO- software is written to take advantage of it. As for buying a KT333/400 motherboard, if you wait till the 400's are released, the 333's will drop in price. I've also heard the performance differences between the 333/400 will be negligible at best. *shrug* boils down to how much you're willing to waste, er, spend, in the end... Crazy_Seb
KT333 = normal, usual stuff now. KT400 + Clawhammer = B R A G G I N G R I G H T S ! ! :p Still i say wait, depends on whatcha got now. I upgraded from KT266A to KT333, thats almost no improvement what so ever. But if you upgrade from KT133 -> KT333 you're going to notice something. Definately. :D
AndyD
well clawhammer is now delayed till next year...so thats out of the question. i dont remember seeing any kt400 boards for the clawhammer either on hardwarezone.com's coverage of computex but i can be wrong. i'd say wait for the new kt400 and get a 2200 cpu unless new amds come out by then too. the boards will have on board support for serial ata, usb 2.0 etc. i was waiting for clawhammer but now forget that. im just gonna wait for gigabyte to come out with their board kt400 to upgrade.
