APL88
Yo Guys What's Up. First off, no I don't have spyware, yes I have formatted my PC. Blah Blah ect ect that's not the problem :). Alrighty, so I use Mozilla FireFox as my main browser. I love it, the extensions sold me a long time ago :) I still get some pop-ups here and there, from sites that show up as either IP Addresses or FastClick pop-ups. My pop-up blocker is on, but I was wondering if there is some kind of an add-on or anything I can use to stop pop-ups better. I prefer not to have another EXE program running. I use Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP Home Edition SP2, and that stops pop ups really great :), but it seams the firefox pop-up blocker is easier for sites to get around. Any tips? Thanks in advanced.
CoolCatBad
Could be many things, Click the Pop-Up Alert icon in status bar when pop-ups occur Add this Pref in about:config, as an interger privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins 2 Have a look at the cookies stored in the Tools/Options/Privacy panel, delete those you don't need. Try my cookie/ad image blocking file. Save As "hostperm1" in Profile folder. https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?act=...=post&id=124831
FiREFLi
Get the "NoScript" extension. :D By default it blocks javascript globally, you just create a whitelist of the sites you trust with javascript :) It's really good.
