nexess
Several fire investigators hired by insurance companies and auto engineers consulted by CNN say a $20 switch is causing some Fords to ignite. Ford has issued two separate recalls to replace the switch in more than 1 million vehicles. But a Ford document obtained by CNN shows the same or similar switch was installed in a total of 16 million vehicles. http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/06/16/ford.vehicles/index.html

Japlabot
This isn't breaking news, the recall isn't critical because most Fords have been running OK so far.

Volvo is just part of their group. And the other poster who said he wouldn't touch Volvo just because they are in the Ford group... Meh  The ford Motor group consists of the following: Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover & Aston Martin.
