Zeitgeist
After reading these forums I came across Ad-Muncher. This program is great, I've switched back to IE from Firefox. It blocks everything perfectly and is a great program. Looking forward to IE 7, too bad the tabs with MSN desktop search plain suck. Using IE + Googlebar + Ad-Muncher. jp10558
What videos are you having issues with? Anyway AdMuncher is great in that it works for all browsers. Though I'm happy with the free proxomitron
morficus
Well, I'm happy with FireFox and Opera for now. I'm not sure about IE7... 'cause I just can't think of living without tabs now. Even tho IE has a higher compatability with most pages out there.
sin-ergy
eh, i don't like having to run a third party software to block popups. why not use the built in one? anyhoo, i will also wait for ie7 and decide then if i want to switch back.

Norante
I got back to IE today as Firefox has been a resource hog and after I upgraded for 1.0.5, it's been bug ridden too. Oh well :(
King Trode
Yea I plan on waiting until IE7 hits beta to give it a shot again. Otherwise I will be sticking with Firefox.
JustGeorge
If everyone switches back to IE when 7 comes out, then MS will cease to improve upon it and it will stay in limbo due to lack of competition. It's about time a new version is out after about 5 years.

anthony
I've been a diehard Firefox user since Firebird back when there wasn't even an installer. I liked the Mozilla browser, without the splash screen and such. I converted tons of people and eventually, I turned back. I was so sick of how Firefox became a resource muncher, I went back to IE. Then about two days later, I switched to Mac OS, and now, I use Safari.

Doli
whats with firefox? websites with flash cause my firefox's CPU usage to go sky high. Memory usage goes up and up and up just with regular use. I know their are a bunch of tweaks out there but for using the program as if with no tweaks this shouldnt happen. I went back to Opera and IE, mostly Opera, its all free. Want an custom IE browser, make one in C# :p, they make it so simeple with .net
Mark-NL
If you like IE and want tabs that work properly, why don't you use Maxthon? It uses the IE engine, has tabs and much much more to improve your browser experience. :-) I've been using Maxthon for a couple of months now, and won't go back to plain IE of Firefox. cdcase
...Even tho IE has a higher compatability with most pages out there. 586092562[/snapback] To clarify, IE has higher compatability with all the poorly designed sites out there that were coded to take advantage of IE-specific functions (i.e. broken HTML and ActiveX stuff). IE doesn't support the standards as well as Firefox/Mozilla/Opera. That said, I have used Phoenix-Firebird-Firefox for years and I rarely have problems. At any rate, its all about personal preference. Firefox with the Adblock extension + Thunderbird + Sunbird takes care of all my needs nicely. Once in a blue moon I see sites that don't render properly (see IE standards comment above), and for those rare cases I will fire up IE (with high privacy and security settings, of course).
