AppleDave Veteran Posted June 20, 2005 Veteran Share Posted June 20, 2005 Alright so I just uninstalled Deer Park because it was giving me some issues, and reinstalled Firefox v1.0.4. Alright loaded it up and opened Firefox and the Screen was way out of proportion and there is this huge red code at the bottom of the screen which I assume is the problem, I have no idea what is going on! I have attached a Screenshot of the problem, how do I fix guys?!!

insanekiwi
yea, keep in mind deer park is still in early alpha stage. it might have corrupted your profile. i'd try a new profile and seek help on irc.mozilla.org #firefox :)
sparkyewu
A 1+ profile can't be brought back to a 1.0 profile. Delete your profile, start up firefox again and you'll be golden. You have to keep in mind that Deer Park is not made for regular users, only developers and testers. That is why it's called deer park and not firefox, so regular users won't download it. Don't be angry at mozilla, they warned you.

The_Decryptor Veteran Posted June 20, 2005 Veteran Share Posted June 20, 2005 A 1+ profile can't be brought back to a 1.0 profile. 586091158[/snapback] In some circumstances. I'm using 1.0.4 and Deer Park Alpha 1 and the nightly's with the same profile, never had a problem. actually, had the same profile since 0.8 Dont get me wrong, i do have a backup, but if i loose this profile, no big deal really. im actually going to start clean when 1.1 hits final

Create a new folder named "Firefox". 3©. Start Firefox. It will create a new profile on its own. Or just uninstall and reinstall if there is a serious problem.
