Pallab Posted June 24, 2005 Share Posted June 24, 2005 (edited) It is evident that the person responsible for this mud-slinging is the journalist.The journalist had asked Jon about FF and Opera's market share during the chat and Jon gave his opinion on that.What he said was only 1 line.Yet the author chose to make a whole story out of that.He didnt even mention the other things discussed in the interview. In Havard's(Opera employee) words Maybe a term one could use for this kind of reporting is "Flamebait Journalism". Jon actually had a long talk with the journalist, but it seems that they decided to only pick out certain things to make it sound like he was attacking Firefox.
