Kr0z
Please forgive my ignorance. But will these cards support both agp and pcie at launch or just pcie? 586095021 I assume PCI Express and AGP - but I guess we have to wait and see what NVidia announces - really soon. notuptome2004 where is NextGen_Gamer talking about ATI or an R520 in your quote? jerry
Please forgive my ignorance.? But will these cards support both agp and pcie at launch or just pcie? 586095021 Nvidia is concentrating on PCIe this time round as their PCIe parts (6800 series) are still short in supply (costly). However I think there will be AGP versions too. notuptome2004>> where is[bNextGen_Gamer>> talking about ATI or an R520 in your quote? 586095051 :DD

And according to theInq, it costs about 425 pounds + VAT in UK, more expensive than the other ones.

Where is the Ultra version, you ask? NVIDIA is saving the GeForce 7800 Ultra to ruin ATI's R520 launch in late July.) Look harder in the First Paragraph of the quote
NextGen_Gamer
yea i know so liek Tell next Gen 586094888 Well, the launch date was July 26th. I still think ATI might announce the card then, but actual availability won't come until September like you said. It depends on how well G70 does. If G70 has good yields and is a good performer, then it will kind of ruin ATI's CrossFire launch. So ATI will go ahead and announce the R520, even if you can't buy them (it's not as if they haven't done it before, cough*R420*cough). If G70 is hard to find, and CrossFire is going well, then ATI will wait until they actually have some cards to sell before announcing R520. Please forgive my ignorance. But will these cards support both agp and pcie at launch or just pcie? 586095021 Well, G70 (along with all of its spin-offs) can support AGP through NVIDIA's HSI bridge chip. Whether or not NVIDIA will use it, though, is another matter. My guess is G70 will be PCI Express-only for at least the first couple of months. Then a AGP version might be available. I think both NVIDIA and ATI want more people to have PCI Express systems, so if they made their new high-end chips only for PCI-E, it would force more people to upgrade. I guess we will get our answer later today though :) .
ReAnimation
From the reports I have read on the net, the 7800 series cards should actually be available once nVidia's NDA expires (today?). If this is true then I think nVidia deserve some kudos as for once not only is a 'next gen' graphics card unveiled, but its also available in retail at the same time.
