Smitjel
I'm not sure if I'm re-posting something or not but for the people that rely on the Firefox Gmail Notifier plugin (like myself)....here is the fix for it. It looks like Google changed mail servers which broke the plugin. I'm sure an update will be out for it soon but in the meantime, here's the fix. Link to the Mozilla extensions page Quote from a guy who posted a quick fix: You're right it is because google changed the address. I created a modified version (just changed the url from gmail.google.com to mail.google.com and it works just like before. Here's a temporary hack for the impatient. Download the file, drag and drop it into your window and it should work like before (use at your own risk). http://WWW.richstyles.net/archives/gmail_n...4.2-fx%2Bmz.xpi Download this xpi, then drag and drop it into your Firefox window. Hope this helps...sorry if it's a repost! :pinch:
Rytis
I modified the extension to work :)Go to Mozilla extensions folder in the profile folder and find GMail Notifier extension (mine was at c:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\2s3d13q3.default\extensions\{44d0a1b4-9c90-4f86-ac92-8680b5d6549e}\). Now go to components folder and open nsGMNotifierService.js file with Notepad or other editor and replace gmail.google.com/gmail to mail.google.com/mail and restart firefox. The extension is now working :) [Edit] I should work with my spelling :) That should help if you want to be sure the fix is secure and you want to fix it yourself.
