Pariah Performance/Crash Problems

When i play pariah, it seems to randomly crash from 'general protection fault'...

I'm updated to the latest patch...

And also, since i'm running a GeForce 5200, i tried editing the Pariah.ini to lower the detail for some unavailable settings in the menu.

RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice

Whenever i try changing the render device to OpenGL.OpenGLRenderDevice, pariah doesn't start. So would't it be safe to assume pariah doesn't have an OpenGL mode?

Whenever i edit the texture details.. the game doesnt start.. either that.. or it was another setting..

Is LOD is level of detail?
