Morfious
I just got an ATI Wonder VE tv tuner and I heard of a program called dscaler. I am running it now but it says no video signal. My card is correctly in place and the antenna is securly connected. I havent installed any drivers for it because i dont want the multimedia center installed on my computer. Is there a way I can install the drivers for my card without having to install the multimedia center with it? Also, out of curiosity, is it possible to hook up a splitter from the wire going from my cable modem and hook it up to the tv tuner to get cable tv on my pc also? BananaMan
I use DScaler, and it works beautifully with me. I don't need to install the cruddy drivers for my tv-tuner since DScaler works directly with the TV Tuner, it's a blessing. On the initial install of DScaler, mine reports no video signal either, but once I set it to my card and tuned it, it worked fine, so I'm not sure about your problem. Try fiddling around in the hardware settings page, you may have set it to the wrong tuner. Just in case you don't know, NTSC is for the USA, PAL for Australia, aaand I can't remember the tv standard for other countries.

Yup.... you can... I did that here in my comp... ;) Just keep the cables at its minimum, 10" or less, from the splitter to the cablemodem and from the splitter to the TV card... Use good cables (the fat ones) and good connectors to avoid a drop of signal... Good luck...!!! :)
Morfious
Even though you live in melbourne, can you tell me which tuner you have yours set to? I've tried each NTSC tuner, none of them give me video signals.
Morfious
Nevermind, I used a cd to mirror the image off of the silver box on my tv tuner to see what it the tuner brand was - Phillips. Its working like a charm, thanks.

EDIT: May not be line-in on your system, but just enable all options and disable then one-by-one if you have to, it'll be one of those.
