L3thal Veteran Posted June 22, 2005 Veteran Share Posted June 22, 2005 NAIROBI - A 73-year-old Kenyan grandfather reached into the mouth of an attacking leopard and tore out its tongue to kill it, authorities said Wednesday.Peasant farmer Daniel M?Mburugu was tending to his potato and bean crops in a rural area near Mount Kenya when the leopard charged out of the long grass and leapt on him. M?Mburugu had a machete in one hand but dropped that to thrust his fist down the leopard?s mouth. He gradually managed to pull out the animal?s tongue, leaving it in its death-throes. ?It let out a blood-curdling snarl that made the birds stop chirping,? he told the daily Standard newspaper of how the leopard came at him and knocked him over. The leopard sank its teeth into the farmer?s wrist and mauled him with its claws. ?A voice, which must have come from God, whispered to me to drop the panga (machete) and thrust my hand in its wide-open mouth. I obeyed,? M?Mburugu said. As the leopard was dying, a neighbor heard the screams and arrived to finish it off with a machete. M?Mburugu was toasted as a hero in his village Kihato after the incident earlier this month. He was also given free hospital treatment by astonished local authorities. ?This guy is very lucky to be alive,? Kenya Wildlife Service official Connie Maina told Reuters, confirming details of the incident. Source

Sensayshun
Who needs chavs when you can have leopards. Or maybe we should take a thing out of Kenya's book, give up with machete, rip chavs tongues out, it would stop them getting lippy as well :) But that really is immense, but hearing things isn't too good. If god does exist, he really was on this guys side.

Ajapi
Geez, that guy is the original badass. That's the difference between city people and er... jungle people. A 73 year old man in the city is strong if he can still walk on his own. In the jungle, a 73 year old grows potatoes and rips leopards' tounges out :p Plus, he hears things....That's just plain cool. *Use the force, young Kenyan....Pull out the tounge.*

tlogank
hey, I got an email one time telling me that I had family in Kenya. Yea, it was cool, and it told me one of my relatives had died and left me a lot of money. All I had to to was send my bank account info to these guys so that they could put the money in there for me. It has been 6 months, but I am sure they are going to get it resolved soon.

Come on now, chances of you or me coming out of that alive are slim no matter how much you say "well i would......." saying and doing are diffrent. Hell i would run like hell for...like...2 seconds before im caught. old fart? kids have no respect these days
