zorak
In an age of identity theft, I don't feel secure having my mailbox crammed full of pre-approved credit card offers. I did some quick googling, and found the FTC site on how to opt-out. It has form letters, and addresses for opt out services of the 3 major credit bureaus. I thought i'd share it for anyone else that is interested, i never knew there was a way to opt out until today. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/alerts/optoutalrt.htm

zorak
seems scammish. No way am I sending my social security number to some spammers Those 3 major credit bureus, already have your social security info, plus the history of every credit transaction you've ever made, a list of any creditor that has checked on your credit score, every late payment you've made. RangerLG
You can also call the FCC directly if you do not want to do it online.

RangerLG
What about a cell phone? Home phone? Rent? Car payment? These all usually inquire about credit. Some don't report, but if you have any of these things, there is a report on you with the bureaus. If you are still living at home and do not have anything in your name, then there should not be anything about you.
