I could only get to 1645Mhz... :ponder:

How did u do that? :ninja:

I increased the FSB from 133mhz to the max value that the pc was stable, and that value was 143mhz, with 1.85V (max that my mobo can give to the processor). ;)

Mine is hot ! even without overclocking!

i've got an imperial case with 3 8cm fans , one in front and 2 on back of the case.

and for cooling the cpu , i use a taisol fan i modded to support another 8cm fan...

and with all that cooling all i can get is 57?C when idle and 65?C while running GTA:p:p

What's wrong!!!???

Well.. my mobo is not the best for overcloking.. but is very stable! It's a DFI AD70-SC (KT-266a). :( :(

When i'm idle, the temp (1533mhz) is about 42,5?C, and wen full loaded, is about 47 or 48?C. I only use one fan on my processor, and have my case open...:ermm:m:

Oh... and i have used some "Silver Grease" (from Titan) between the dissipator (EP5-6I11 - www.coolermaster.com) and my processor.

i unlocked mine and got it up 2 a 2100+ running at 42oC so that isnt bad, full load is 52-53 usually but i have a lot of fans keeping my case and stuff cool i think i have 11 fans total in my case

I OCed mine to 1.702Ghz and the temp was about 47-49C I. I went up to 148Mhz (x 11.5) using aggreesive memory timings but i guess if i turned that down to normal i can hit a bit higher.. i didn't even think about that part. My Abit Max AT7 board can change the multiplier thru the BIOS does that mean i still gotta unlock the CPU cuz the option is already there. I used the 1.850 volts too and that's as high as it goes. I'm using a ThermalTake Volcano 7 (not plus) and it does a pretty good job. Right now at normal speeds (i'm not OCing anymore) the temp is at 43C so that's pretty good for 1.53Ghz. My 1.2 T-bird usually run at 47C!!!

Without unlocking a AthlonXP the max you can push it is about 100-120 Mhz. I pushed my AthlonXP 1800+ to 1655 Mhz on a 144 FSB, and AthlonXP CPUs can NOT reach a 148Mhz FSB without being unlocked or if you use watercooling on it, maybe.

A quick question, why do you need to o/c the processor too much anyway? It won't improve games too much, just tasks like encoding and decoding. I upgraded from an AMD 1.2 to a 2100+ and the improvements weren't even noticable in games (and not much in 3dmark2001 even), just when encoding divx.

If it's games improvements you want go for a gfx card overclock which is easy and does really make a difference, especially if you have something like a GF3 Ti200 as this can easily be made to go the speed of a Ti500 (and quicker). All you need is a better fan and some heatsinks for the memory (if you haven't already got some on there).
