Well, if you can stretch to it, a Sony Net MD would be sweet. They can store up to 320 minutes of MP3's and can transfer via USB. Some include a docking station whereas others plug straight into your PC.

I would definitely go for the Net MD, battery life on MD players is good as well. My Sony lasts for well over 20 hours.

$250 Canadian dollars? that's like what $50 american dollars? hehe i'm kidding. Well, MDs are cool, Sony's new netmd lets you transfer your mp3 straight to your md, but with an MP3/CD player, you can store a whole lot more music on jsut one cd. For those MDs that stores up 320 mins, you have to let it record. SO that's a long waiting time, where as you can have a full 700MB cd of mp3s in just a few mins if you have a fast burner. I say go with the MP3/CD player.
