SB Audigy users

okay i need some sort of help.. i'm not the only one that experienced this with a soundblaster audigy card.. out of nowhere the pc would freeze and beep a long beep then work fine? then it would completely freeze and not unfreeze? any of you ever experience this before? and if so, have you ever found a resolution?

xp pro.. and yes i have the current drivers, i was thinking about moving it to another slot, either 4 or 6 because somebody else suggested that

what slot do you have yours on?

never had that problem... make sure u have the onboard sound off .... if that option was on ur mobo. Does it occur at anytime specific.....or random?

I had this same problem, moving slots corrected it for me...

moving slots did absolutely nothing for me

taking out all the cards cept the audigy did absolutely nothing

i have therefor concluded that it is a problem with the crappy dell systems and the wack pheonix bios and their crap motherboards

:(

it occurs at random, but its not like it happens alot, its happened twice today, and it was mostly because i had been accessing my harddrives while playing music, thats only when it happens... somebody else had said that it might be because its on the second pci slot, and the first 3 are 133mhz and its sharing it with my double harddrives or something so the audigy is only gettin about 33mhz of power? i have no clue lol but shizit, the sound is superb since i had upgraded from a SB 128D card, that came with my gateway 2 years ago, and it's unfortunate to get the screetching sound at random times :

No problems. :) It didn't work when I had it in PCI 2.
