same as me there.....as i dont listen to the radio i cannot say whether your right or wrong but i shall wait to see if it is true or not before jumping the gun

yeah, infact, now that i think about it - they shouldnt make anymore shows of countdown; partly in honour to him and partly because it will NEVER be the same again if they did continue it.

not without the man who made it (i dont care what you say about Miss Vorderman, Richard Whiteley was the reason we all started watching)

That's actually very upsetting - he died relatively young.

Being from Yorkshire I grew up with him on Calendar. I can imagine the "jokes" that will start to do with his funeral/cremation music and the countdown clock tune. :no:
